What the official source supports
An observership is a short-term placement to observe clinical work. It is not a training post or a degree, and terms (fees, eligibility, visa) are set by the institution.
- For practising ophthalmologists with MS/DNB; candidates from other developing countries also eligible
- Fee INR 23,600 (Indian/Nepali) or USD 590 (international), incl. 18% GST
- 2 seats per month at each centre; apply via the online form on the page
- Trainees learn full workup of a glaucoma patient and use of clinic instruments
